Community-Based Engagement
We work close to communities and seek to understand local priorities, challenges, and strengths.
Al Ensan Amana Association is a Lebanese non-profit civil society organization working with communities to respond to social, humanitarian, educational, health, and protection-related needs. Our approach is rooted in human dignity, inclusion, local engagement, and practical support that contributes to longer-term resilience.
Our mission is to support and empower individuals and communities by promoting access to essential services, strengthening participation and inclusion, and responding to humanitarian and social needs with respect, responsibility, and dignity.
We envision communities where children, young people, women, older persons, and persons with disabilities can live safely, access opportunities and essential support, participate meaningfully in society, and contribute to more inclusive and resilient communities.
Five core principles shaping every initiative we undertake alongside communities.
We work close to communities and seek to understand local priorities, challenges, and strengths.
We value collaboration with local organizations, community structures, service providers, and other relevant actors.
We promote non-discrimination and respectful access to support for people from diverse backgrounds.
We combine immediate support with activities that strengthen skills, confidence, participation, and longer-term resilience.
We are committed to ethical practice, safeguarding, responsible management, and the protection of dignity.
